About me
"Si vos photos ne sont pas assez bon, vous n'êtes pas assez près."
- Robert Capa -
The above phrase is a quote from Robert Capa, the great French photographer whom I admire the most.
It means, 'If your photos aren't good enough, it's because you aren't close enough.'
<Photos that Make the Heart Race>
20 years have passed since I began my career as a photographer. For eight years, I traveled throughout the country, photographing models and capturing travel scenes, all while striving to hone my skills.
My talent was recognized, and I even had the opportunity to exhibit my work in a New York gallery.
However, the major turning point in my photography career was the five years I spent in Italy.
There, everything from strangers I met while having drinks on the street to the breathtaking views of Florence at sunset captivated me.
Even in the midst of conversations with friends, I would find myself reaching for my camera. This led me to capture unique and unexpected sides of people I knew well.
I took great pleasure in immersing myself in work that showcased my personal vision and individuality.
My photography captures fleeting moments that clients might miss while traveling, such as the surprise of encountering unexpected situations or the nostalgia when suddenly reminded of home.
I hope that when they look back at these photos, they can relive the emotions and experiences they had during their journeys.
<The Balance Between Experience and Capture>
"My approach to photography is to be immersed in beautiful moments while maintaining an observer's distance to capture them authentically."
Upon meeting, I introduce myself and we discuss the itinerary and photographic concepts. We explore various styles, from spontaneous snapshots and candid moments to more directed, posed shots, allowing clients to choose what resonates with them. While my primary focus is on natural, unposed photography, I am flexible and can accommodate requests for posed images. For those who may feel uncomfortable in front of the lens, I provide a range of pose suggestions to help them relax.
Location-wise, I can either follow the client's travel plans or recommend unique spots and landmarks that I am familiar with. Such as the awe-inspiring Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral or the scenic Michelangelo Square, which offers breathtaking views of the Arno River and Florence's skyline. As we visit these places, I share brief historical insights and anecdotes to enrich the experience. During the shoot, we take breaks to sip coffee or tea and review the captured images together.
With years of experience in Italy, I am adept at engaging with international clients, making the photography session a seamless and enjoyable part of their journey. I strive to blend in naturally, capturing genuine expressions and movements.
It's often difficult to fully immerse oneself in the travel experience while also trying to document it. My photography service bridges this gap, preserving the lively and authentic moments of clients in their travel destinations, allowing them to relive those experiences through stunning visuals.
